Taskat helps customers request home and local services and helps providers receive, manage, and complete those jobs. This page explains what information Taskat collects, how it is used, and when it may be shared.
We do not sell personal information or use personal information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Supabase provides account authentication, database, file storage, and server functions. Firebase Hosting serves our public support and policy pages. These services receive the information and technical request details needed to provide their functions.
When you view a map, OpenStreetMap's tile service receives your IP address and the map-tile coordinates requested by your device. Typed addresses and location lookups on iOS use Apple's geocoding services. You can enter an address manually without granting precise-location permission. Map data and tile service use are subject to OpenStreetMap's license information and privacy policy.
Phone and WhatsApp actions open an external app only when you choose them. Information you send there is also handled under that service's terms and privacy policy. Taskat's app fonts are bundled with the app and do not require a font download from Google when you use the app.
We limit service providers to the information needed for their assigned purpose. We require them to protect it using contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards consistent with this policy, restrict their own use or disclosure, notify us of relevant security incidents, and delete or return the information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable law.
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide Taskat, protect users, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the record type, the status of your account or request, and applicable legal requirements. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Delete your account directly in the app from Profile by selecting Delete account and confirming the request. If you cannot access the app, email joseph@taskatapp.com. Account deletion removes your authentication account, profile, account-linked marketplace records, uploaded photos and identity documents from active systems. We do not require you to contact support when the in-app option is available.
We may retain a limited record when required by law, for fraud or security investigations, or to establish or defend legal claims. Any retained information is access-restricted, used only for that purpose, and deleted when the applicable requirement ends. Backup copies are isolated from ordinary use and expire through the normal backup-rotation process; if a backup is restored, the deletion request is re-applied.
You can withdraw device permission for location, camera, or photo-library access at any time in iOS Settings. You can also stop providing optional information or email joseph@taskatapp.com to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and some Taskat features may no longer work.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of your personal information. Contact joseph@taskatapp.com to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Service descriptions and uploaded photos are user-generated content. Request photos are accessible to their uploader and the review team while awaiting review, and are shared with authorized providers only after approval. Use Taskat's in-app Report action to report content or conduct that is abusive, offensive, fraudulent, unsafe, or otherwise violates our rules. You can also block a user in the app to prevent further interaction and hide that user's content where applicable. Taskat has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content-safety reports are prioritized for review and may result in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or other appropriate action.
If an in-app control is unavailable, email joseph@taskatapp.com with the request ID and a concise description. Do not email passwords, full payment details, or identity documents. See the Taskat support page for the reporting process.
Taskat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
